"Training of Trainers - Module 4" provided by Professor Sebastian Valdecantos

We are happy to announce the succesfull completion of the last module of MAJIG Training of Trainers "Environmental Stock-Flow Consistent Input-Output Models".

Led by Professor Sebastian Valdecantos from Aalborg Universitet, the course took place in Bogotà (Colombia) and La Paz (Bolivia) from May 20, 2024 to May 31, 2024.

The trainees were able to inderstand how to combine the contents of the previous three modules to create a realistic representation of the economy.

They also familiarized with data sources describing the production process and its links to the environment, they built theoretical models capable of addressing relevant policy questions, and they used data to feed theoretical models as a starting point to build a partial or fully-fledged empirical stock-flow consistent input-output model.

We're thrilled to announce the successful completion of the third module, “Applied SFC Modelling”, of MAJIG Training of Trainers.

This milestone brought together the researchers and teachers from the Bolivian and Colombian partner Institutions, who had previously taken part in the first and second module provided by Professor Marco Missaglia and Professor Michalis Nikiforos from University of Pavia.

The training took place in Bogotá, Colombia, and La Paz, Bolivia, from February 12, 2024 to February 23, 2024.

In Colombia, the team received a warm welcome from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Universidad de La Salle, while Universidad Mayor de San Andres kindly hosted the Bolivian team.

Participants had the opportunity to collaborate with Professor Gennaro Zezza from the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio and, under his guidance, they both went through all the key steps to build an applied Stock Flow Consistent (SFC) model for a whole country, starting from the available time-series data.
