"Training of Trainers - Module 3" provided by Professor Gennaro Zezza

We're thrilled to announce the successful completion of the third module, “Applied SFC Modelling”, of MAJIG Training of Trainers.

This milestone brought together the researchers and teachers from the Bolivian and Colombian partner Institutions, who had previously taken part in the first and second module provided by Professor Marco Missaglia and Professor Michalis Nikiforos from University of Pavia.

The training took place in Bogotá, Colombia, and La Paz, Bolivia, from February 12, 2024 to February 23, 2024.

In Colombia, the team received a warm welcome from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Universidad de La Salle, while Universidad Mayor de San Andres kindly hosted the Bolivian team.

Participants had the opportunity to collaborate with Professor Gennaro Zezza from the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio and, under his guidance, they both went through all the key steps to build an applied Stock Flow Consistent (SFC) model for a whole country, starting from the available time-series data.

The Project Coordinator visits the General Vice Minister  of Finance and Public Credit  Mr. Diego Alejandro Guevara Castañeda

In November 2023, while in Bogotà for the first module of MAJIG "Training of trainers", the consortium  organised a visit to the Colombian General Vice Minister of Finance and Public Credit, Mr. Diego Alejandro Guevara Castañeda.

Professor Marco Missaglia (Project Coordinator) and the representatives from the Colombian Partners Institutions joined the roundtable, presenting the Project and bringing out MAJIG intent to boost employability and response to developmental challenges.

Indeed, with economic modelling and forecasting being increasingly requested for sustainable development and policy making, MAJIG intends to respond to the necessity to shape a figure able to address today’s policy and market needs promptly. Thus the Project will be pivotal for the effective upskilling and reskilling of competences.

It was a profound and stimulating moment of discussion, concluded with the General Vice Minister expressing great interest and appreciation for MAJIG objectives and expected results.
